Mine sleep for exactly how long the lights are off, however long that may be. This is why it’s important to have a proper nighttime period on your lights because stressed, tired fish die, pick at rocks, jump, become aggressive etc

yeah I try and do that, this is the reason for the question, I also like to feed them before I leave for work but finding a balance is not easy...sleep or food!
