sleeping snails?

Is it normal for a nerite snail to just lay on the bottom inside its shell like sleeping? Or is this bad?

Normal. They don't go nonstop. They have some down time.

If possible flip him over, I know my nerites are more comfortable and will rebound quicker if not exposed.

If they don't move in the evening I'd flip em just to make sure they are still there.
