Slifer KH/ALK test kit question

I watched a video of a guy that claims a salifer rep told him that when drawing the 1 ML of fluid that the fluid level should also be at 8.5, has anyone heard of this? My fluid level is 8.1 every time so..... just want my reading to be correct.

I do believe mine is closer to 85 than 81, I'll try to pay more attention next test, but are you absolutely sure you've pushed the tip onto the syringe as far as it will go?

Absolutely, tight as I can get it. I may clean it out and try the syringe I have in the calcium test and see if any difference. Maybe I have a messed up syringe! Yea next time you test please let me know. That can be quite a difference in my readings!

tested alk today and was at 84, wet the tip of your clear syringe and see if you can force the pink (or whatever color) tip on further?
