Anybody know of other options for a slim algae scrubber other than Turbo Aquatics? I’m not interested in a fuge again and limited on space since my big butt skimmer can only go in my first sump chamber. I’m open to paying for custom at this point if anybody knows somebody

Thanks!

Well the intention was for the skimmer to go in the second chamber, with the monster red dragon pump I’m about an inch too short no matter hard hard I try (story of my life lol)

Kinda sorta similar layout to how I had my ATS in the refugium chamber of my sump... Just build a PVC bracket to hang over your fuge section and it should support any ATS just fine.

I will have to cut the Manifold out, also I have an icecap scrubber siting here and due to the height you can’t open the the lid, Clearwater scrubbers are exactly the same.

Yeah, Turbo’s let you pull it out from the side. Only need an additional 2” in height to remove the growth chamber.

Theres a guy on here Carz I bought mine from. Its laser cut using acrylic & polycarbonate.

exactly, I have a WTB up or hopefully Bud will start making them. Worse case I can make my own but I have no time with work. That’s what I get for building everything out before my skimmer came

I just saw the Rain4 also, that will work no problem I just don’t know about the quality at 800 bucks

I’ve owned a Rain2 and later sold it. Let’s just say that there’s a world of difference between it and the scrubbers that Bud makes. ;)

Bud has the scrubber thing down to a science. Hands down the best design going. You might as well do a diy acrylic type if you go with an any others.

Are the turbo scrubbers that much better for the drastic increase in price? Idk

I ended up getting a used turbo scrubber so we shall see. I’m just looking for one to maintain constant nutrients and the dimable feature is what I really liked also. I like to feed heavy, my nitrates have been constant it’s a bit of of a battle with keeping phosphates steady
