So I have been noticing the slime growing around my sump area??? Is this an algae? Out competing others??

Clear/colorless is almost certainly bacteria. Brown could be dinos.

Bacteria is no particular problem, unless it becomes unsightly.

Are you dosing organic carbon (vinegar, etc.?)

Do you use Kalk in your ATO? I had developed slime by not rinsing my ATO container out for a few weeks. As soon as I started rinsing my ATO container out every other time I fill it up the slime disappeared.

Randy,
My Apex flow sensor said my Cor was running at 195 and usual flow rate was about 230. So I decided to take apart my pump and skimmer this afternoon. This slime was all over the place. Cleaned out as much as I could from sump, and my skimmer and Cor20 pump has a small amount inside as well.... Nasty... So what's this look like to you??

Meaning my sump? Yes the only light on in my sump is for my Fug, but it doesn't really hit anywhere in sump...
If I'm getting that kind a bacterial sludge, should I back off Nopox?

I scooped most of the slime today, as much as I could see... As well as cleaned skimmer thoroughly and my Cor20 Return Pump... Hoping slime goes away...
