Slime

Can someone help identify what this slime like substance is? It is in my sump also so when I did a water change I got to fish some out. It’s like a blanket. I amost reminds me oil on the top of water

Nobody can tell what that is. Please use white light and try to get a close up. Also if you can give us some tank info and the color of the algae/bacteria.

Looks red when fishing it out

If its red and blow off the rocks and stuff easy, it is most likey cyano. \Still a good picture with white light would help id it.
