Slimey feeling water and deflated coral!!

So recently the past few weeks my coral have been ticked of my acan, candy cane. Dragon soul and another I cannot think the name atm. So I don’t vinegar and have for about two months now without issue. I do es alk as Wells using two part and doser. I use vibrant once a week as well as reef energy and every week trace elements.

I have noticed my coral have been deflating my acan at times sporadically and generally are looking a bit ticked off as well as the others mentioned.

Well I’m noticing when I put my hand in the tank the water it feels a slippery/slimey I’m also not seeing any weird slime or growth in any areas so I’m unsure of what’s taking place. All my tests are in range but my coral are obviously telling me a diffrent story.

I typically don’t do water changes unless needed for emergencies. Nothing has has died yet so that’s a plus.

I should also mention the deflation comes and goes I recently turned my lights down just to be safe Incase it is lighting upsetting the corals and the water feel is not the culprit

Have your nutrients come down from a previously high level? If so, you may need to decrease the intensity of your lights. There's a bit of a balance to be had between lots of nutrients + high lights, and low nutrients + low lights. Many times if you blast a new tank with high light you end up killing the coral due to a lack of nutrients....Other then that, id do a larger then average wc just to reset, run a small amount of carbon, toss in a few inches of poly filter(just to see if it changes color).
