Slimmy looking / transperant algae or bacteria? Need Help on ID

Here are some pictures , I'm having a tough time getting an ID for it . It is slimy to the touch and looks slimy and transparent.

Confirmed it is Dinos, and I think it is indead Amphidinium , sadly i got no microscope to confirm it. Thank you everyone!

You need a microscope. My chrysophytes look identical to Dinos, and the only way I could differentiate was with a microscope of multiple samples

Ended up being dinos and chrysophytes Confirmed by microscope

Good luck with clearing this. I read that a UV sterilizer doesn't work as well for amph but I got rid of it with the combination of nutrients + turkey baster them into the water column at night + UV sterilizer in case + Dr Tim's waste away.

It ended up being osteoprosis , so it was pretty easy to get rid of, now the chrysophytes ... have been a pain

Whats the plan for the chrysophytes, I used m.b razor before and they started to go away but I didn't complete the program, due to lps tissue loss and that with combination of turning off protein skimmer it was working, overall the tank came down. I think they are tied to silicates, good luck they are nasty little devils!

Hi , I'm trying the most "natural" ways first. I been cleaning and vacuuming and exporting it the max I can. If I have to be honest it is not working. One thing you said , silicates. This is currently very high on my system. I'm working in exporting them , and I will check if in the next ICP comes with low values. If after hitting close to 0 silicates, and it continues , I will choose to start dosing vibrant as my last resort

In my case I believe it was partly the r.o storage container, even now I have second guesses about my containers, But then I was also kinda over dosing AB+ not sure if that has silicates in it also. But I tell you what you gotta look at those under a microscope because they can fool you for dinos. The Golden Foolsdinos

Yes yes everything got checked under a microscope. My problem is that I don't know when the RODI starts letting silicates go through , as they pass through even with 0 TDS. I even added a 2nd DI stage , I need to setup a schedule but idk how periodic should it be I even have a sensor between the rodi stages, always showing 0 :/

I just added a 4th d.i stage with spectrapure silicate buster, I haven't made a run with it yet, but I have high silicates, and I dont burn thru resin fast but im looking at doing some better testing for silicates, I just got a salifert si test, but im thinking about looking into the Hanna ulr silicate tester, and narrowing down where its coming from or possibly now with my 4th d.i stage after the 3 stage pro resin, I can stop them. I'd rater add silicates on purpose not from Some unknown source

I don't think so , it is complete glass.

Mine is much more simple, hope you have luck with extracting all the silicates from RODI. One thing I might look is maybe trying to find a different DI resin, I currently use Triton and I'm not sure about the effectiveness for silicates specifically .
