I picked up a Kenya Tree on Saturday afternoon (I know, drops branches like a weed, I will regret it, yada yada...but the coloration was too hard to pass up...). It was slouched a bit at the LFS, but it was from a new shipment he received the day before, so I picked it up anyway thinking it was still getting used to the LFS tank. Got it home and into my tank and it has not really improved. Right now it looks like this:

I was more optimistic this morning as it was a bit more inflated/erect:

But it has since regressed.

I got a Duncan frag at the same time and it is open and gladly accepting my target feeding, looks happy:

Inverts and fish all doing well. I can’t figure out why the Kenya is so stressed. Any ideas?

It’ll take a few days. My kenya looked like a 2” nub for over a week and then one day opened up to about 7-8”.

I guess I need to be more patient. I get so worried every time I add something new. I just want it all to thrive...

Thanks for the reply.

Update:

Most of the day today, it has been looking MUCH better. Patience was the key.
