Slow decline of multiple corals

They do , but it is only for viewing pleasure. it does not enhance growth at all.
So what should I do with my kessils to allow for a 12 hour cycle. The longer cycle also allows me to feed the fish daily as they come out before I go to work lol

Keep the t5 at the 8 hours and run kessils maybe 20% int 40color with 10 uv for 12 hours?

I know vortech has a few issues with swelling and rust
I think that has to do with how they clean them in which chemical. mine never swelled after a decade so I bought a new pair. Never soaked them in anything

Same here I don't soak in vinegar. I soak magnet in a special pump cleaner for minimal time and then let the plastic cage soak for as long as needed. Try and minimize the magnet from soaking in anything acidic

lol just like me, I open windows and feed in morning before work.

You can keep your current timing, just turn intensity down so people next door dont think your welding inside. My tank shined so bright it was obviously to bright, its now night and day darker, and with that the corals love it. All those rbtas were hiding under rocks. Just make sure when kessils are at their brightest you notice a dramatic decrease in intensity. Keep all the colors ect where you like, just drop intensity to almost nothing like im tried. Here is the thing, Your corals with either peak up and down in a 2 week period, and let you know if your on the righ track or not. You can always raise the lights if needed, you will just mimic a cloudy month. It will not hurt anything if everything else is fine.

Here's photos of various corals over the past few months. As you can see some are still doing well, the green slimer, the WD, zoas, other acros. Other pics you see the decline

The montis all died middle out for some reason. When I fragged the healthy rim and moves across the tank itself new frags healed and encrusting for weeks before dieing like the mother colony.

Sometimes SPS are tough, even my local reef guru who owns a coral shop has issues now and then.
Your obviously doing a lot of great things

Full shot from this morning with mostly blues, no t5. I have a very nice red encrusting/plating corraline that grows extremely well.

I saved this from death 3 times, I bought it when skeleton was poking through it and healed it, then when my tank went south a few months ago you can see where it pulled off its skeleton base and I got to reattach

Thanks I try hard which is why it's so frustrating. I built the tank into a wall of custom built ins I made and it takes up 5 feet of cabinets my wife wants so it needs to succeed lol.

Even mycandy canes though are shriveled and mostly dead after being puffy and splitting for months on end.

those kessils are on pretty bright

Keep after it, you doing great, hopefully your only a few tweaks from complete success.

large water changes could turn it around combined with lower intensity. I have not had luck reversing SPS, I have LPS. I hope you do!!!!!! good luck

That was like 930 about an hour before the t5s.

Maybe you're right and hopefully that's all it is. I still don't understand as the kessils have been on since day 1 and they grew and thrived for 6 months or so. I think my max int was like 40% before though as the tank was new and I was trying to minimize algae. So they started real low and ramped up to 40 and then back down

Changes the settinf on the kessils. Decreased the intensity 10-20% across the board while leaving the colors the same. Peaking at 40% instead of 60 and starting out at 5% instead of 15% for morning viewing
