so I received an acro from a buddy not too long ago and the whole center of it was dead and is starting to encrust over once more.
However this bright red algae has taken root on it and I have no idea what kind of algae it is. Its not cyano as this is in high flow and it will not blow off at all when blasted with a pipette.
This is the only algae throughout the entire tank. Any ideas?

Sorry for the eyesore that is this acro. It was pure white when I got it and its finally starting to color up

Note. I'm not worried about it really as it is not taking over the tank. I'm thinking of fragging this up and gluing it to plugs and just toss the dead parts with algae. I'm just curious on what kind it is
