Slow SPS stn

Also i just seen that tin (sn) came up on your triton test. From what ive seen in members, tin makes sps very unhappy. Id run some type of polymer, just to get that unwanted metal.
Yeah that piece is the worst one in the tank. I fragged it off a larger colony that was stning. Can you give me more details about the polymer to remove the tin?

Take a look at this thread.

If you search you'll find others had elevated levels of tin and lithium just like your results but don't mention any issues with their tank.

Do you have any metals in or above your sump?
I haven't located any metal inside the sump. I did notice however that my heater has a bit of condensation on the inside. I don't think this is a concern though. There aren't any rusty screws inside the stand either.

It also looks like there is a vermetid snail at the top right of the first picture. I have some in my tank and they have caused a similar issue if I let them get to close to my acros. Look in the tank at night and see if any filaments from the snails are touching your acros.

I had a problem with manganese and aluminium in the past, and used two little fishies metasorb witch worked great. Triton sells a detox for heavy metals although im not sure what it is. Can use poly filter as well

We had that happen last spring. Try to dirty the tank up a bit nitrate and phosphate wise. Someone recommended that we run our skimmer only an hour and a half a day and within three days we saw reencrusting. Worth a try for a few days before you try anything drastic. Wish you luck!

I've been searching for a way to remove tin from my tank but haven't found anything. Tritons detox doesn't list tin as an element that it removes. Any ideas?
