Dang it's kind of cute. I do not know what specific type but unfortunately you should probably isolate the cutie until @Lionfish Lair or another member familiar with the unknown chimes in.

Curious have you introduced any new corals and if so what type? Are the GSP stay closed or any other coral in the tank?

The only two new are the gsp and torch. The gsp doesn't stay closed in fact they are opening now. I just turned on the lights so they hadn't opened yet.

best to pull it very few sea slugs are reef safe/pratical....either they eat stuff you want like corals and or only eat something special so will die of starvation soon.

The color is different but it will give you a good starting point...I got to keep mine (he was super cute lol) but not sure about the black/grey.

how do you ID between ones that physiologically look the same? is it all by color?

I'm sure dips will, but I can't speak from experience on that one. USUALLY, there's one one or two that you pluck out of these guys, unlike some of the other coral eatin' nudis. Someone the other day had a boatload, though and I had never seen those numbers before. There's a lot of places to hide up under the GSP mat.

Ok cause when I dipped it I got 2 brittle stars off of it from underneath so I'm assuming that's where he was at. I figured it would have killed him. Oh well now we get to play a game of hide and seek.

Good question cause my gsp is opening all the way. And all the colors are looking good I will still remove him just in case.

Some I can't tell, yet this one is very specific. Color can be an indicator, or sometimes is the border color/pattern or the markings in the middle. The rhinophores can help differentiate between say a Vayssierea and a Dermatobranchus. The Dermatos are also very common in our tanks. Sometimes you can't tell, but they are often carrying around a small hint that you just need to spy.

Many of the threads I have run across have involved GSP, so I'd feel confident saying he's a problem for the GSP. If not now, later. You still need to remove him because he's absolutely a coral eater. He's not the GSP specific one, though. There's another one that is.
