I have a 150g 48x30x25 mixed reef display tank,,, SPS up top,,, all the rest of the corals lower,,, the problem,, I am out of SPS room :( only have room for a few more choice frags,,, my plan to continue to buy sps frags and have a place to put them,,, yea,, I have a problem,, I have a friend that I am going to get a small frag tank from,, for little or no cost,,, small,, 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 ft. yea,, I should go bigger and may down the road,,, right now,,, this low cost tank fits my budget,,, this will be a all sps frag tank, and will be plumed into my 150g display tank,,

I want to lite the tank with a Radion XR15w G4 Pro my question,,, how high above the tank should I be planning to hang this light over the tank to get ,, say,, in the 300 Par range,,,

Radion G4s are very strong. You should probably mount about 12” off the water and will get good spread to cover the tank and PAR won’t be any issue

Agreed. Maybe even higher than 12". Once you get the right spread, adjust intensity to achieve the correct PAR. Just guessing but probably 60% or so at that height

Hang it 18 off the top of the water and run it 75 percent or so. Should give you full coverage and good par
