Assuming nothing is being dosed or added does alk go down at night like pH? I was wondering since I dont tend to test alk at the same time of day.

Alk goes down as it is consumed, but it does not rise again unless you add it.

Not really, but it does matter somewhat when you test in relation to when you last dosed.
