Small black creature that omits clear stringy residue

I thought I only had one of these on the coral plug and didn't know what it was nor cared much until I realized there may be two of them today. The coral has not been doing well, but didn't think this may be the culprit until now. It appears to be black with a white tip and let's off a semi clear string when I blew off the rocks today.
Any help with identification would be appreciated. And any help with my acan would be as well.

can be an eyesore…
but not certain of their destructive nature.
you will read various conflicting bits from others.


i would superglue it’s opening.
bumblebee snails worked for me…
but it can be hit or miss
depending on where the snails were collected

As ChiCity eloquently stated this is probably vermetid snail.
Not a disaster, but I would remove it/destroy by using some forceps or similar implement. They can irritate corals, though many, including myself had them and accepted as a part of a reef tank.
