Small black worm thing on hammer coral

I'm not sure what this is. I'm not seeing it move, but I just noticed it there an hour ago I cant recall ever having seen it before.

Any help is appreciated!

Vermetid snail, most of the time they are all right and won't bother LPS corals, they send out a sticky filament thing to catch food and when it touches something like a birdsnest coral, it will cause the coral to close up for a while and a bunch of them could irritate the coral enough to cause visible damage.

If you'd rather not deal with it, a dab of gel super glue or epoxy stick on/over the opening will kill it.
