Hello,

So I need to do a little manual intervention on my recent algae invasion. I have a regular toothbrush that I use, but am looking for a brush with a little smaller head with firm bristles to get into those hard to reach places...maybe also angled..sounds like a dentist. Anyway, I was wondering what others are using. The regular toothbrush doesn't get it all. I saw a dog toothbrush that has a small head on one side, but the bristles were soft.

any questions would be much appreciated.
thanks

Google nylon gun cleaning brush. Similar to toothbrush but stiffer bristles and one end has smaller head.

electric toothbrushes are great for some film algae. if you want a DEEP clean, that will take everything off the rockwork if you go at it hard enough, use a drill w/ a wire brush. just do not use it with the rocks in water, rocks with coral or live rock (cause you will inhale the fumes) or use it on glass cause your glass will be ruined. id reccomend saftey glasses and a dust mask for this cause you dont want to get dead coral dust (which is usually pointy spiricules) in your eyeballs
