Small clownfish clamped or missing dorsal

Have had these guys for about a week now and what i thought was a clamped dorsal seems to be a missing dorsal? is this a deformity ? something i should wait and see out or take him back to the store ? thanks

Did you buy it that way?
If not, is there aggression from the other one?
Will need clearer pics under white lighting
Also that plastic plant may leach and cause water issues

hey thanks for the reply. i’m actually pretty annoyed at myself because i didn’t give them a final inspection before picking them up, and only noticed once i was home.

i’ve removed the fake plant just in case.

Yeah, this looks like a deformity and one that has been there a LONG time
Fish should be fine the way it is
 
Clowns are tough fish, they can pull through a lot. With how inbred they are, genetic deformities aren’t too uncommon. It may be more susceptible to attacks this way, but if the fish has lived fine with it this long, it will continue to do so.
