I was performing my weekly water change and maintenance when I noticed this leak in the tank. Its the hole for the return and it continued when I put the return pump back on. Any suggestions on how to remediate it? Or feedback on if this is a major issue?

Given the rate of the drip....which is very slow....

1) back off the locknut (loosen) and start to re-tighten. We're not looking for major torque that could crack the housing....but find the SWEETSPOT of tightness where the leak/drip stops.

2) sometimes no matter what you do... that plastic part has enough of a defect in it where it will always slowly drip. If you put some light air flow around it, SALTCREEP will eventually seal it up. Sounds crazy but thick saltcreep can be a tough as glue sometimes. Trick is to have light airflow, just enough to keep drying out that drip and it will encrusted over itself. While drying out the drip have a small container collecting the drips.

Thank you. This community is awesome. I decide to try to loosen the locknut as suggested and found out it was way too loose, had a little bit of a mess to clean up, but nothing major :) Gave it a good turn to tighten it more (but not too much) and it seems like that was the issue. I'll keep an eye on it over the next hour or so to see if I see a drip forming again.

Thanks again!

You found and fixed a problem before it became a disaster by doing routine maintenance and being observant. Not to mention, reaching out for help when unsure about it. I'd say you were doing great. thanks for your experience.
