hi guys
I have a new system I am slowly stocking. its a 150 display
and my smaller fish are not swimming around the tank
I hope I did not add fish in the wrong order as I been doing research.
so I started with a pair of clowns after cycle - they are good and swimming everywhere
- then I added Royal gramma - he seams to be doing ok - he comes out around his spot and is eating good - I know they are not big swimmers
- then I added a small female Golden romboidalis -was going to go in with a male pintail wrasse but he died in delivery. so the Golden romboidalis went in on his own - he's swimming around his area and some times moves around some more. and eats good.
- then the new pintail arrived and was added healthy and a nice size. I did not see any fighting between the 2 wrasses and the pintail has been eating but hiding most of the time. he does come out here and there and at feeding he like darts to his food gos right back to hide then darts back for more ect....
and here is the part I dont know if I did right
about 4 days after there pintail went in I was at my LFS (this Friday) and I saw a 3-4 inch really nice Heniochus black and white butterfly. this fish is on my stocking list so it was not a random buy. - this fish is doing very well swimming everywhere and eating
so here's my question
the pintail wrasse is not really coming out much he's been in the tank for about a week
and I am also seeing the Golden romboidalis is hiding more now as well
are they scared of the butterfly fish since he is so much bigger or does it just take more then a week for them to start swimming around and coming out more
the only reason I added the butterfly fish now is because I am only adding peaceful fish first and its listed as peaceful
should I add a few more small fish like a school of anthias or a few more wrasse so the others fell more comfortable.
I have plans for a few tangs and a flame angel fish but I want to add them last
thanks
