Looking for a float switch that is smaller in diameter than the "normal" float switches. I worked like to mount this inside my skimmer which is the skimz sm163. Smaller cup size.

Thanks

There has to be something out there. Anyone?
Not a float switch.. But the avast ATO is smaller diameter. They use it in their skimmate lockers as well. The micro smart ATO may an option too, though I haven't used one personally .
Both are certainly more costly than a float switch, but also wouldn't get gummed up as easily by skimmate..

This is a pretty small one.

Looks like avast changed their ATO setup

It looks the same to me, it's a pressure sensor tube. If I was incorporating this ATO on a skimmer cup, I would probably drill a hole in the lid and fix the sensor tube in there, plug the skimmer into it. Wouldn't use the optional float valve or magnet.
I'm planning to diy a skimmate locker on the new build and use the Avast ATO off my biocube (it doesn't evaporate too much and is softies only). Haven't decide on a container but will be mounting the sensor in the lid and a pill vial with carbon for the exhaust

I haven't been on avast's site for awhile, I thought they had something different. My mistake.

No problem! just didn't want you mistaking the float valve as a necessary part of the ATO. It's easy to think it would take up a lot of room but is an unnecessary part of the setup, especially in the application you are looking at.

Hope you figure out a solution, happy reefing!

Some pressure sensor tubes are about the same diameter as a standard float switch - 3/4". some might be 1/2".
