Asterina Starfish. Harmless but can multiply rapidly.

Starfish? I didn't see any arms. Do they start out this shape and develop "arms" as they grow?

I second. asterina starfish! Different stars Species have different appearances. But the asterina has short nub arms. And usually not symmetrical.

Asterinas come in all kinds of goofy shapes, I can make out two arms in your picture, but alot of times theyre missing arms.

Yea... and the ones I have are that color. They look like a piece of dark grey raw granite or rock. I have only seen a few, but I know there are more. So far, they haven't hurt anything.

Asterina starfish. Some are polyp eaters, others are harmless but all will multiply fast.

Some of the darker ones will go after zoas and they multiply fast. I personally remove the ones I see right away.
