13.5 gal Tank has been setup for 12 days. Very live rock, several established marine cube blocks, live sand and a big bottle of turbostart. 2 clowns. Nitrite, nitrate and nitrite levels were zero until today when I got 5 for nitrate. Yesterday I noticed a thin brown top on my sand and today I'm getting small algae shown in the picture. Live rock came home with starfish, fan worms, vermitid snails, aiptasia and a crab. The price you pay for a fast setup! Anyway... just wondering if anybody has any advice for the green algae? I've been keeping the lights to a minimum and feeding very controlled and small amounts. I'm assembling a clean up crew now. Bumble bee snails for the vermitid. Berghia for the aiptasia. Wasn't quite expecting to be dealing with algae already and don't want to treat with anything unnatural because everything is so new.
