Small hitchhiker mussel thing?

Any ideas? Few tiny ones came in on some chaeto from algaebarn. Seem to be growing slowly in my fuge. Sorry for the bad pic, best I could get. They are definitely alive as a couple have made home at the waterline.

Kinda looks like a limpet or stomatella.

Do they pop off easily ?

Looks like a mussel with the shell striations.

Definitely not snail or limpet, just hard to tell by the pic...

Are these mussels safe to keep? Can’t imagine they’d be a problem especially in the fuge.

I would keep it, filter feeders help keep the water clean, if your unsure drop it in the sump.

This is an Atlantic Ribbed Mussel (Geukensia demissa), do not be surprised if it changes places; they can move slowly with their muscular "foot", although they can also fix themselves on the rocks with their byssus.

They are filter feeders and good consumers of phosphate and nitrate.
