Small Invert ID

Hi All,

Today as my snail was moving by one of my trumpet corals today this small creature would reach out of the coral base and bite/attack the snail. Upon dipping the coral 2 of them came out. They are approx 2-3mm in length.

Any ideas on if they are harmful or what they could be.

That's a type of amphipod. They are harmless. He was probably picking something off the snail.
