When I was feeding my fish tonight I happened to look into my filter sock and noticed a lot of these small tan critters moving around and have no idea what they are or where they came from. There extremely tiny. My tank is Caribsea sand and dry rock. Seeded originally with Dr Toms one and Only, then supplemented with Microbactr7 once a week.

I only have 2 clowns and a half dozen hermits. Any ideas?

Tigger pods. Healthy tank. Don’t change anything. You’re doing it right.

I’m just wondering where they came from. I’ve only added the 2 kinds of bacteria, fish and some hermits.

Hard to say but they can hitch hike in the water those fish and hermits came with. Most likely the hermit crabs. Stuff rides on their shells.

Definitely a good sign, pods are always good. But it's very curious where they came from. Also seems like a healthy amount. How long has the tank been running?

Around a month, that’s why I’m confused.

Don’t be confused. You’re set up is creating a good environment for them to flourish. Keep it that way.

could also be hermit crab larvae.
