small pink fish needs ID

this little guy has been at the LFS I work at since I started about four months ago, so I don't think he'll get much bigger. he's only about an inch! reminds me a lot of my pygmy pearchlet, any ideas? he's the little fella on the right.

Looks like a type of hawkfish. Maybe a Swallowtail hawkfish?

swollowtail looks close.. I just feel like if he's supposed to get 6", he would have grown a little more by now.. I'll get another picture or video of him when I'm in tomorrow. I kind of want him lol.

Hawks grow pretty slowly IMO IME

That's not a hawkfish, the fins are not the right shape. It is a stoplight cardinal fish, Fowleria flammea.

If it were a basslet the caudal peduncle would be a different shape and the body would be longer. It's a stoplight cardinal fish.

Look at the eye, look at the rays on the dorsal fin (especially the first ray), look at the tail...

Yeah you're right.
Cardinal for sure, in this case a stoplight Cardinal.
Was difficult to discern with photos provided as fish looked washed out
