So I'm sitting here driving myself nuts on which pumps to buy...if someone can give me there opinions on the most reliable and quiet pump to use.i need to use one for a phosban reactor and one to go from one chamber to another for my refugium(low flow)I also need one for my chiller,I am running my chiller with a maxijet 1200 and the vibration and noise is unbearable.below is the sump/refugium hat I had custom made from custom kings in New York so you have an idea what I'm working with(tank thread to follow)along with a custom made stand.thanks guys!

Ive used several different Quiet One Pumps, never a problem never a noise issue out of any of them.

I have had two Quiet Ones literally catch on fire and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Even before they burned up they ran very hot, used higher than average wattage, were far from quiet and had trouble restarting once shut off. I thought one was a fluke but two is bad. When Pentair bought the name the quality really went downhill. Eheim, Sicce, Tunze and WaterBlaster are all very reliable pumps with very good histories, low power consumption per gallon pumped and very quiet.

I had the same problem with a quiet one 3000...never again.also had a mag 9.5 do the same thing
If in sump one large eheim and a manifold with valves to control flow.
I was thinking the same thing,I bought an eheim 1262 which pushes out 900 GPH and with a manifold I can eliminate having multiple pumps.besides I think I have a strong enough pump to spread the love to everything I need a pump or in the sump.thanks guys!
