Small red things - coral or something else?

When my lights shift to night mode i see that some of my live rock have these red spots on them. Very hard to get a good picture. Any ideas?

They are about the size of a half a sprinkle

itty bitty bits of fresh new coralline algae, or existing coraline that's been scraped with a rock or maybe a snail shell I think.
