Hey guys,
Recently been battling Dinos and Cyano with the cause pointing towards low nutrients. The last month have been raising nitrate and phosphate by feeding more and so far have had success with the Dinos. Have also started dosing phyto and Dr Tim’s eco balance to diversify bacteria colonies.
Have had some relatively slow die off of a button scoly, hammer and montis that were all previously doing fine. Elegance and remaining monti seems very sad. Zoas and a few hammers and scolys seem to be fine.
Could the small rise of nitrate to 5ppm be the culprit? The rest of my parameters are in check (other than 0 phosphate) and have been very steady.
Cheers.
