So tonight my puffer has two small scab like spots on his side. I apologize for the quality of the pictures, but they do show how the spots seem to stick out like a scab. He didn’t have them earlier today. I’ve only noticed them after I’ve added a couple more hermits and two green chromis to my temporary holding/qt tank. He does tend to choose to bunk up in corners where the hermits congregate, but I haven’t seen this before. He’s still acting normally, cruising around for food. And he’s still eating like a pig just like he was when I got him a couple weeks ago. I don’t have any rock in this tank as it’s temporary until I can get my display up. The chromis where quarantined at my LFS before they went on sale, and the only other fish he’s been around are my clowns which were thoroughly qt’d before I added my puffer and chromis.
Do any of you know what this could be and how to best keep it from getting worse?
