Recently I have seen very small(tiny) what looks to be dead shrimp floating around randomly before getting sucked up or disappearing. Does anyone know what these are? I have fed Mysis shrimp but it has been about a month or so. Also, everything pretty much devours the shrimp once fed.

Thanks

Might be amphipods. Try a google image search and see if they look like what you've seen your tank. If so, they're good to have and fish will chow down on them if they see them (amphipods usually come out at night will fish are sleeping). Not sure why might be seeing dead ones floating around though...

Will do. I did a 50% water change 2 weeks ago and when the water level was lower I seen a couple of them alive and scurrying around the glass.

Yep that's them. I just did a google search and they do look like Amphipods. Question is how did they get there? I didn't seed my tank with them.

Via live rock or a frag

I have pods too (just saw them for first time 2 days ago) and my tank was started with dry rock, dry sand, I don’t have any frags and all my cuc was QT for 76 days and I didn’t have a single pod in the QT tank.

No idea where they came from.
