For those with smaller sized SPS tanks what’s your dosing method? There's so many methods out there now days! Triton, all for reef, 2-part, balling, etc. My current build I planned on trying Triton method but seems few are running it now? I loved the idea of more natural eco system with large refugium with varied macro algae’s. Current build specs are 60 breeder display, 60 breeder sump (half sump is for chaeto/possible Ulva chambers), and remote 20 long inline for mixed macros almost display refugium. I’m second guessing my idea and think so much macros are for sure going to deplete nutrients and will make me have to dose nutrients as well. Not that it would be bad but adds more expense and more factors for errors. So a tank size of mine planning dominate acro’s what’s the most effective dosing method currently out? Looking to order dosing pumps soon and trying to figure out how many I’ll need depending on which method I adapt. Thanks

I have a 25 gallon lagoon full of acro frags and kalk is keeping up well I’m only dosing 7ml per hr of fully saturated kalk and it’s keeping things stable

I got red sea 170(~42gal) with acropora dominated ,some clams/lps. I don't run skimmer or macro algae.
My dosing method, primary dosed kalwasser(as ATO) and all for reef, 5-10g water change every 2 weeks.
For me, I believed all the nutrient up take from corals.

When I have had smaller tanks, it is 2 gallon jugs filled with part 1 and part 2 of randy's recipe. I pour some in a few times a week.

I ran a 700 gallon system on triton for more than 8 years. 500 gallon display 210 gallon refugium. No other filtration. My no3 and no4 were undetectable. If your running a skimmer you do not want undetectable levels. Without a skimmer you can run undetectable without any issues. Just feed your pods phytoplankton to keep the numbers up. The larva from the pods will feed your coral. I started a 114 gallon system up in February with a downsized version of that system. It's also running undetectable levels. Most of the coral have doubled in that time. Display and refugium are filled with pods
