My tank has been through some troubling times here lately, but I have worked diligently to get it back to where it was at its peak. Water parameters are great now as is the flow. Once everything stabilized, I saw this little guy under straight royal blues and I have no idea what it is.

Judging by the polyps, it is an SPS of some kind but have no idea what species. Hoping you all can help.

This picture is zoomed way in, cropped and enhanced the best I could do. It is only about 3/16" wide and to give you a comparison, the orange in the lower left is one lobe of my acan. Anyone know what this thing is?

Looks like a small goni or alev
But do you have pocilloporas in your tank by any chance.

Wild guess but it has an aleveapora look to it. Maybe a stylocoeniella?
Had to look this one up, and it could be. I know in the last week or so it has doubled in size. I guess in a month I can post a new picture lol.

I do not have any pocillopora in this tank, but I believe there was some at the reef store. But this little guy is on a rock that has been in the tank for 5.5 years so it would have had to be an egg that fell off and landed there. It is right under my new birdsnest acro.

Yeah let it grow. If your worried about it and still curious QT it I guess.

Not worried about it at all. And I will definitely let it grow. I'm extremely curious as to what it is lol. I just didn't know if there was someone in here that had seen a brand new coral and they would be like "THIS is what it is" lol.
