It's a hydroid. Medusae stage.

I'll look this up but in the meantime, what is a hydroid? And is it beneficial? Problematic?

It's of little consequence. They disappear after a bit and don't bother much besides fry and dwarf seahorses. It's a Cnidaria. Very cool to watch while they're around. Is your tank new, perhaps?
