Does anyone know a starfish that could be housed in 36 gallon aquarium with a dwarf Fuzzy lionfish?

Pretty much any sea star would work, the lionfish won't eat it.

I wasn't worried about the lionfish eating it. I was worried about the starfish outgrowing the tank. Don't most of them get to almost a foot long?

I would be concerned about a natural food source instead of the growth rate.
Just "any starfish" won't work. Linkias for example shouldn't be in a small tank. We don't understand their diet well enough to feed them directly and they will quickly eat their entire food source in a small tank, then slowly starve to death.
Perhaps look into Fromias. They look a little like the Linkias, stay small and it's possible to directly feed them.

I was looking at some starfish and I had narrowed it down to the Red sea star. After reading what you said, I think it would be a good choice because I believe it is a Fromia and it only get 6 inches. Thank you for your input.
