I have had a tiny maybe 1-1 1/2 inch blue eye tang for close to a month now. He will not eat seaweed, I've tried purple, red, and green. In the clip and on the rocks. He does eat some off my tank walls, and does eat frozen, flake, and pellets. Any suggestions as I'm getting worried about his nutrition. This is my first tang as I've never been brave enough with all the horror stories before lol.

Bristles are more slime algae a detritus eaters than they are nori. My chevron rarely eats off the clip, preferring to graze the rocks. He will go for the clip, but not so much for the seaweed as that's when my hippo usually craps and he eats it. YMMV.

My Whitetail BT just goes insane for nori on the clip (also picks off the rocks constantly)...give him time, he'll probably end up loving it.

I hope so mostly worried about its health although I do put sprilia on the frozen.

With my kole tang I had to dip the sea weed in garlic in the beginning now he's a pig

^ yep, and once they start they'll eat it liberally!

If your tang is eating frozen, flake and pellets, I fail to see what the problem is?
