Small time local coral dealers

Man you gotta love the people selling corals at affordable prices!! I’ve known for a few months now but not long ago discovered a guy selling coral as a part time business. He has his license or whatever is needed to order stuff in. And the best part is he is only 4 min away from me in the next neighborhood. Turns out he sells to some of the LfS locations in the area.
I’ve bought from him before but just picked up a new torch tonight. A purple with orange tips. Average prices are 30-60 bucks for the basics and only 100-200 for hellfires and indos and etc. hopefully I’ll have a nice torch garden soon enough!
the guy even has scolly’s for 30-60 bucks.

anyone else have local people selling at good prices?

We have a few. Unfortunately some are cheap because they aren't following the laws such as for sales and income taxes.

That particular torch is everywhere right now. I paid $30 for a one head frag at my LFS. Same frag plug and everything.

Your lucky, in my experience, most people selling corals want almost the same as LFS price, like maybe $10-$20 lower than LFS. I don't get it, they're nuts, for almost the same price I prefer to go to the store, where I know what I'm getting.

Ppl do indeed think they're corals are worth gold lol.
There's gold in dem Der hills! Lol. U know like Velveeta cheese commercials. Lol!

But usually the coral is healthier and hardier vs. a lfs coral.
Just have to find the non chop shop type ppl who actually let the corals flourish and multiply on their own.

Well the guy I know, posts all the time on Facebook market place. You might try that and local reefers and groups to see who is selling or trading.

Nice, there is one guy local to me who is doing something similar. Once my tanks are fully set up and running I plan on hitting him up!

Check Facebook marketplace and look for local clubs

My LFS is super awesome. Prices are all reasonable on corals and products. Im pretty lucky hes 10min from my house

For me sometimes its hard to give away coral locally, I'd love to give away some of my overflow stuff, usually the lfs will take it for trade or pennies on the dollar.
