Small tube worm looking things?

I have also recently identified some small soft bodies tube worm looking things but they don’t react and retract like a tube worm would they have soft bodies and are growing in the dark resigns of my tank like the filter and under branching rock trying to upload pictures and video but it’s hard to clear a good clear image of them

I’m not talking about the white calcification tube worm things but the soft kinda grey bodied little filter feeders with white tube work like fan

Those are pineapple sponges. Harmless filter feeders.

Great! That’s exactly what they look like I have all of a sudden had an explosion of them it seems never seen them before

Yeah, that happens. Then, over time, the population will die back to more sustainable levels as other organisms populate the tank. There seems to be an ebb and flow to microfauna growth in my system. Between copepods, mini brittle stars, sponges, tube worms and other inhabitants, some always seem to be doing better than others...but the current winner may be different next month.
