Small, white tubes on a new snail

Picked up 20 snails and 2 hermits as my cleaning crew recently. One of the snails (perhaps others) seems to have something on it's shell. Bothersome? Benign?

Edit: Some others I just noticed on the snail right next to this one are more brownish (bottom-right of the photo).
