Small worm(?) curled up on powerhead cord

This tank is only a month old, started with dry rock and dry sand, and currently houses a couple Ocellaris, a goby, pistol shrimp, a few hermit crabs and trochus snails. These must have arrived with one of those, but I can't find anything that looks similar on hitchhiker ID guides.

Looks like a small worm curled up on itself. There's another one on the same cord a few inches below this. Appreciate any help with an ID!

These are popping up this time of the year- Its a hydrazoan jellyfish

It does seem to be a vermetid snail.

It seems like vermetid snail is the right call. I removed them, and it is a hard shell - I was assuming that wouldn't be the case.

I'll be removing them as I see them pop up - hopefully they don't get out of control! Thanks for the help all.

I thought so too, right up until I grabbed it with tweezers and it didn't squish!
