So I just picked up a fairly small YWG, I'd guess only 3 months old or so. Will they pair with a pistol shrimp that small? He's only about the size of the first 2 knuckles of my pinky finger. I just don't want to throw him in and then find him dead a few days later because he was too small. I only have 2 Saddleback Clowns and a Scooter Blenney, and a Tiger pistol shrimp that previously was paired with our old YWG before he passed. Here's a few picks of him

I would recommend leaving him in the breeder container for a day or to so he can get used to the water chemistry. Then after that release him in the general are of the pistol shrimp and he should be just fine!!

That's what I did. I believe he has already paired with my shrimp. He is doing well
