I've had this colony of 15 for about 2 week and they opened up as soon as they were put into the tank. A couple days ago I added a wavemaker and all but a few closed up. I have moved them to an area with less flow and still most are closed. My other colony that was near this one is still doing very well. This all started this past Wednesday. What do I do? All my parameters are good and everyone in the tank is doing very well.

What are you feeding them? I have a large colony of green button polyps that get a little too much light so they stay closed a good portion of the day. Each afternoon I shut off my sump pump leaving the wave maker on and pour a cup of green water mixed with a squirt of liquid food plus a dash of coral frenzy into the tank. Within 15 minutes pretty much every polyp opens up to feed. If I wasn't so lazy at that time I should be spot feeding them larger foods to get good growth.

Usually new corals look good for a few weeks after purchase. If they're not happy move them to a different location. They look like radioactive dragon eyes they should be around medium high light.
