Charging forth with multiple pico tank ideas, I'm at a breaking point. I came from freshwater planted tanks, and I just can't handle not having a planted tank. What are some hardy, easy to maintain species that could do well in picos?

Well that depends on how much you're willing to trim, and how small of a pico you plan on doing. A 2.5 would be pretty rad with Caulerpa prolifera, and a .5 gallon bowl could be fun using a single centerpiece of Gracilaria.

You could do anything really. Some decorative macros include Botryocladia, different species of Gracilaria, Codium, blue ochtodes (if you can find it), Halymenia, and plenty more.
