Smallest fish you’ve kept?

An important consideration is the size of the fish v. overflow size. I've got a 1" Neon Goby that I have to siphon out of the overflow reservoir on a continuing basis...

Little trimma goby. Have a masked in my 6g now. Was super tiny when I got him. Clearish and like 1/2". Now he is closer to an inch with nice red coloring.
I have had yellow clown gobies that were a bit over an inch in my 210g and they lived years. They spawned regularly on my staghorn.

That’s awesome! Were you able to raise the offspring?

Aside from seahorse fry, Bluestripe pipefish. I’m always afraid they’ll take the wild ride down to the sump, but they steer clear of the box.

Any experience with them? I’ve never seen them for sale.
I think aquarium depot or one of those used to sell them by the 5 or 10. You just gotta keep an eye out. I see them once a year or so. Also see Pygmy Dart goby once in a blue moon. But you have to have 5 or 10 min. Sorry not more help

Gobies are tough to mix right? Like different kinds? I have a fire fish and black sailfin together but I don't know if that's just luck or what

@ReeferSteve no it's actually a fake plant I purchased on amazon. It floats and I turn it upside down to create some type of hideaway for the babies. Since it's just spiky, the babies cannot get stuck like the chaeto some people use

Gobies are normally super peaceful with each other. Blennies , on the other hand, not the case

Spike fin goby had a panda goby and a circus goby looking for pics also have micro star fish that breed in a 4 gal
