Debating on setting up a tank for a snowflake eel early next year once I get a couple other projects going. itll probably go in a 75 and im looking at other fish to go with it. I know it will most likely eat any fish it can fit in its mouth so im looking for suggestions on fish that will be safe when the eel gets to be full grown.

I have seen really passive snowflakes housed with grammas and fairy wrasses, and really aggressive ones that would hunt large fish, so it can very. Add the eel toward the end, but I would feel safe keeping it with a yellow coris or a melanurus wrasse.

That's a bit of a tough call. Each eel is different and your best bet is to get the smallest you can and offer a good variety of food.

Mine will not bother fish and Ive had fish smaller than 2" with her (she is about 3' long and 2.5" diameter or 7.8" girth). The only time she will chase the fish is when she is in feeding mode, but it lasts only a few seconds after I feed her and the fish know and avoid being on her way....

lol one day I will have a shark tank but that's not going to be anytime soon.

the plan was to get the smallest I can find, I got a buddy who can order them so I would just have him keep an eye out for a small one.

Mine doesn't eat my 1 inch clown since theve been in there for a while I guess he doesn't see him as food. He's eaten live food recently as I had to entice another fish to eat but still left the clown alone. I'd suggest buying a smaller one that won't be able to eat your small fish and then eventually he'll get used to them and won't recogniZe your fish as food
