Smallest powerhead?

Hey all

I got my Colbalt powerhead, but it's just too big for my 9 gal nanocube. The nozzle sticks out too far. It's bigger than I envisioned and too strong, it's blowing the sand everywhere.

I am looking for the smallest powerhead that's powerful enough for a future SPS dominated 9 gal tank. One that does not stick out more than 3" hopefully

Any suggestions? I am hoping to find some good Black Friday deals

May be too small, but the smallest pump I have used is this tiny Tunze. Adjustable output.

wow the Aqamai KPS seems to pack a punch for something that size. I am wondering if 370 GPH would be too strong still for the tank.

The koralia nano comes in 240 gph and is 3.5" i believe. Im sure that would work great, and koralia pumps are very good.

Power head like a wavemaker or a return pump? It seems these common names overlap and it makes for some confusion. Well it confuses me.

The Jebao SW-2 is just under 3".. I got a pair just for top water movement. Cheap also, I believe I paid 85$ for both of them.

Jabao is a better size, will look into those too!

I'm using 2 vortech mp10's in my 8 gallon nano tank. Lots of water movement for my sps but unlike powerheads they vary the flow. I'm using them on reefcrest mode at about half power.

i like these more and more everytime i see them. Ive had a vortech for years, but with these jebaos out there, i dont think ill ever pay the price for a vortech again.

Vortech seems very pricey in comparison to other similar powerheads

The main difference is vortechs don't have cords in the tank and have a very small internal footprint which I like. I agree they are pricy but I got a used one for $100 that works just fine. That Jaebo does seems good for a value option
