Im searching for a small powerhead that isn't too powerful for dwarf seahorses. Right now the tank is an AIO and I feel like there isn't enough flow, but I don't want the ponies to be whipping around either.

I also need something where they cannot get sucked into as well. they are tiny creatures

Can anyone suggest a small not too powerful powerhead? its a 7 gallon tank.

Pump gph is adjustable and, unfortunately, dimensions on Amazon are very wrong; check out sicce.com for accurate sizing.

Might consider using sponge material with rubber band to keep your ponies from being sucked in.

Good luck

Going to be hard to find a small, low gph powerhead I think. What about upsizing your return pump and that way you can get more flow and not have to worry about your ponies getting sucked into a wavemakerpowerhead. Sicce Syncra Nano is small, adjustable and good quality: sicce.com will show accurate measurements.

Good luck.

what brand aquarium is it? it's possible a single 1/4in RFG might be a good choice for creating just enough flow in that size aquarium.

I've had luck with the small usb style pumps, haven't had one stop as of yet. They can also be found in the 120v versions.

I don't remember the brand on top of my head, and I did not even think about upgrading the current pump. Smart!

Airline tubings would help generate flow and oxygen too. This is why I come here, I am dumb with these things lol

If you can post a pic of the tank and possibly a close up of the stock return nozzle, I may be able to help you figure out what you might need to add a Random Flow Generator Nozzle.

The 1/4in RFG is pretty small

Given your tank inhabitants, the RFG and the air bubble technique are likely the safest means of creating flow in that tank.

I have this pump in my refugium to stir up detritus and can confirm it can be made very gentle but has decent flexibility. The intake is very small. It also has 4 suction cups to help mount it. And it's not that expensive and a solid reliable brand.
