Just installed this ato on my nano, should I just leave it on 24/7? I kinda like the idea of programming it to turn on 3-4x daily as an extra redundancy but I noticed it beeps loudly a few times when you turn it back on..anyway to avoid this?

I have never heard of anyone running an ato on a timer. Why are you wanting to do that?

Don't think there is a way to bypass the beeping on start up, part of the start up checks.

My tank doesnt have much evaporation, It would be a extra precaution in case the ato fails to stop it from over flooding the tank since it would only be on for a minute even if I wasn't home

It has some nice built in controls to avoid overfilling, it remembers the last 3 fills and doesn't let it run too much longer. That won't work if using a timer. If you are really concerned a separate float from autotoppoff.com or the smart ato separate sensor would both work, but I have been using the smart micro ato and not had issues. I would avoid the timer though.

I'm planning on getting a second sensor to put right above this ATO in my AIO; the Autoaqua smart level security sensor. If the Micro ever fails, the 2nd sensor cuts power to it. I know its probably unnecessary, but the one time it works could save my hardwood floor even with the 3x fill stop on the Micro.
